Introduction
TRACKER requires the services of a Lead Developer in the Technology Department. We require a self-starter with an outgoing personality and the ability to communicate at all levels. The successful candidate will be required to Delivery of solutions to achieve customer satisfaction, while working within a team.
Job description

  • Technical leadership in delivery of Internal Systems products and solutions, within team and potentially across teams. 
  • When relevant, effective management of staff in Internal Systems teams. 
  • Continuously align delivery to the Tracker and Internal Systems team strategy and planning. 
  • When relevant, provide input into the annual salary review process as and when required. 
  • Deliver strategic projects on time, in budget, with the desired functionality, at the defined quality level in a 
    sustainable way. 
  • Define and design architecture/technical implementation related to area of responsibility, while collaborating with other managers, leads and architects.
  • Meet best practice criteria in the evaluation and testing of software. 
  • When relevant, assure that team members adhere to and follow these practices. 
  • Complete work orders in appropriate timescales. 
  • Maintain and systems without introducing new defects. 
  • Share knowledge with development and support teams. 
  • Document systems, including enhancements to facilitate knowledge sharing. 
  • Mentor and coach Junior Developers.
  • Ensure that the best practice development processes and standards are followed. 
  • Effective use of development toolset. 
  • Follow department development standards.

Minimum requirements

  • Relevant Degree/Diploma with 6 years of relevant experience
  • C# development using .NET Framework and .NET Core
  •  ASP.NET MVC, Web API, WCF/SOAP services 
  • High performance and scalable API design and development 
  • JavaScript, TypeScript, ASP.NET AJAX 
  • Telerik Kendo UI, Xamarin / .NET MAUI (Beneficial)
  • Windows Services development 
  • Using integration platforms; Boomi experience is beneficial 
  • Database & Data Access
  •  Microsoft SQL Server (incl. SQL Server 2016/2019) 
  • Complex SQL queries, views, stored procedures, relational database design 
  • Entity Framework 6 and Entity Framework Core, Dapper 
  • Oracle database experience
  • Applies modern software engineering principles, including modular architecture, maintainable code design, 
    and automated testing strategies to ensure high-quality, scalable solutions. 
  • Root cause analysis, debugging, and data investigation 
  • Integration & Messaging 
  • API integrations using REST, XML, JSON, SOAP 
  • RabbitMQ 
  • Integration platforms: Boomi (highly preferred) 
  • IFS Cloud / FSM / PSO API integrations 
  • Cloud, DevOps & Deployment 
  • Azure DevOps: sprint/backlog management, CI/CD pipelines, build & deployment automation 
  • Cloud technologies and orchestration tooling (general) 
  • IIS configuration knowledge 
  • Unit testing frameworks (experience advantageous) 
  • Agile QA testing principles 
  • Visual Studio, VS Code. (Boomi, Microsoft Power Platform, IFS Cloud / FSM / PSO is beneficial) 
  • Microsoft Teams for collaboration 
  • Source code configuration management (Azure DevOps) & coding standards adherence
  • Sparx Systems Enterprise Architect (Beneficial)
