Head of Insurance Sales

· Own and execute the end-to-end sales and commercial strategy for the Insurance channel, including revenue growth, margin performance, and forecast accuracy.
· Provide strategic leadership in the commercialisation of data-driven, AI-enabled and telematics-based insurance and underwriting solutions.
· Build and maintain senior executive relationships across insurers, MGAs, brokers, fleet operators, OEMs, and InsurTech partners.
· Lead the development of scalable go-to-market models, including direct sales, strategic partnerships, and embedded insurance propositions.
· Deliver new strategic partners and grow existing accounts through consultative, enterprise-level selling.
· Collaborate closely with product, underwriting, actuarial, and data teams to translate analytics and insights into compelling commercial value propositions.
· Build, lead and develop a high-performing national sales team using modern sales operating models, CRM platforms, and performance analytics.
· Own national sales planning, budgeting, pipeline management, and performance reporting.
· Represent the organisation at industry forums, conferences, and executive roundtables as a thought leader in telematics-enabled insurance.
· Analyse current and future insurance market trends to inform sales strategy, product development, and partnership opportunities.
· Influence internal stakeholders and cross-functional teams to drive adoption of new commercial and operating models.
Minimum requirements
· Essential: Bachelor’s Degree in Sales, Marketing, Business Management or a related field.
· Desirable: Management Development Programme (MDP), MBA, or similar executive qualification.
· Minimum of 5–8 years’ experience leading large, diverse, national sales teams.
· Strong background in the Short-Term Insurance industry, preferably in the Commercial Lines - Motor
· Demonstrated experience in technology-enabled or InsurTech environments.
· Strong understanding of data-driven underwriting, telematics, AI, and advanced analytics.
· Proven track record of achieving revenue growth, profitability, and long-term partner value
· Experience selling complex, consultative, multi-stakeholder solutions at executive level.
· High emotional intelligence with strong leadership, influence, and change-management capability.
· Experience in managing a team of experienced sales professionals
· Excellent written and verbal communication skills; results-driven and solutions-oriented.
