Introduction
Reporting to the Head of Region: West Coast, the successful candidate will be responsible for Dealer & Broker sales in Western Cape. The incumbent will be expected to provide strategic input and direction to the business on sustainable market share dominance over time.
Job description

·       Lead, motivate and develop a team of Dealer & Broker Consultants in the Western Cape area.

·       Responsible for implementing the sales strategy as defined for the business.

·       Oversee the management of relationships with Dealerships , brokers and underwriters.

·       Responsible for achieving monthly and yearly sales targets.

·       Responsible for the management and control of the regional operational budget.

·       Responsible for marketing and promotion activities within the two channels.

·       Maintain and grow key relationships with various partners in the Western Cape region.

·       Maintain and grow the relationship with the Insurance Institute of Western Cape.

·       Work closely with the Regional Customer Service Manager.

Minimum requirements

  • A tertiary qualification, preferably in Sales and Marketing is essential and at least 5 years Sales management experience, preferably in the insurance and dealer environment.
  •  A business qualification such as an MBA, MDP or similar management development programme would be advantageous.
  • Minimum five years experience in the management of diverse sales teams.
  • Verifiable experience in achieving business growth in terms of sales and long term profitability.
  • Experience in the Insurance environment will be a distinct advantage.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication.
  • Strategic, intellectual and analytical abilities.
  • Consultative style with influencing ability.
  • High degree of emotional intelligence with strong leadership skills.
