Introduction
Tracker requires the services of a Team Lead: Security Specialist based in the Technology Department in our Johannesburg Head Office. The incumbent will be responsible for the design, build, maintenance and documentation of the network security infrastructure. This includes administration of Firewalls, Intrusion Prevention Systems, Intrusion Detection Systems, Network Access Control (NAC), and Virtual Private Networks (VPN). They will work very closely with infrastructure operations teams to ensure that all necessary controls are in place to securely support the company's service offerings.
Job description

Key roles and responsibilities:
  • Implement and monitor security measures for the protection of computer systems, networks and information.
  • Identify and define system security requirement
  • Design computer security architecture and develop detailed [URL Disabled] designs.
  • Prepare and document standard operating procedures and protocols.
  • Configure and troubleshoot security infrastructure devices.
  • Develop technical solutions and new security tools to help mitigate security vulnerabilities and automate repeatable tasks.
  • Ensure that the company knows as much as possible, as quickly as possible about security incidents
  • Write comprehensive reports including assessment-based findings, outcomes and propositions for further system security enhancement.
  • Ability to work within the ITIL framework
  • Monitor the security of the organization’s network from threats originating from inside and outside the organization.
  • Collect, and analyse data to make decisions and recommendations regarding security standards and controls.
  • Conduct continuous analysis of security threat information (viruses, malicious code, industry events, hackers and zero day exploits, e.g. OEM weaknesses, IDS/IPS and SIEM alerting) in order to proactively assess and investigate emerging threats and potential impact to Tracker. 

Minimum requirements

Experience, qualifications and competency requirements:
  • Relevant IT Networking and Security Certifications, plus appropriate B Degree
  • 7 Years’ Experience
