Introduction
Tracker requires the services of a Team Lead: Delivery in our Technology Department. The Team Lead: Delivery will be responsible to facilitate the delivery of IT projects and the on-going achievement of key business objectives. This role is also responsible for leading a team to facilitate work into and out of the development team. Its purpose is ensuring that the department’s governance and compliance is assessed, documented and implemented by putting in place the policies, procedures and controls. Job description

  • Technical leadership in delivery of products and solutions, within and across teams.
  • Effective management of staff in the team.
  • Continuously align delivery to the Tracker and team strategy and planning.
  • Provide input into the annual salary review process as and when required.
  • Deliver strategic projects on time, in budget, with the desired functionality, at the defined quality level in a sustainable way.
  • Draft and review delivery processes and exception management for the technology development team
  • With input from Business Unit Managers, maintain the Department’s High-Level Roadmap and 3-6-9 Plan.
  • Ensure delivery is continuously aligned to the business and technology team strategy.
  • Assist with compiling and updating of project plans and other project information and documentation. 
  • Help monitor progress, budget and hours and raise flags in agreed way, using agreed tools. 
  • Eliciting and managing project risks and any delivery blockers.
  • Manage escalations from the team and help to resolve effectively and timeously
  • Using project scheduling and control tools to monitor projects plans. 
  • Help the team to keep a project within the defined scope and objectives. 
  • Ensure standards and requirements are met through conducting quality assurance tests.
  • Maintain Governance, Risk and Compliance policies and procedures to ensure that the Development and Engineering department adhere to the internal audit requirements.
  • Ensure that the Development and Engineering department maintains ISO and other Quality policies and procedures to ensure that ISO certification is retained.
  • Work together with internal auditors to understand requirements as well as to ensure alignment to their expectations during the audit processes.
  • Collaborate with project teams and other departments to ensure buy-in and commitment to achieving compliance and certification.
  • When required, assist with regulatory and other Development and Engineering reports.
  • Clear and concise communication with all stakeholders in required/appropriate format.
  • Strengthen relationships with both internal and external stakeholders.
  • Compile reporting on area as and when required.
  • Administrative tasks as required by above.
  • Quality assurance of deliverables produced.
  • Ensure that the best practice processes and standards are followed.
  • Resolve all customer queries efficiently, and within agreed timelines.
 

Minimum requirements

  • Degree / Diploma with 6 years of relevant work experience or 8 years of relevant work experience.
  • Microsoft Office competency required.
  • Experience with Project Planning tools, including MS Project, required.
  • Experience with MS Team Foundation Server (TFS) or Azure DevOps advantageous.
  • Project Management experience required.
  • Governance, Risk, Compliance and Quality experience required.
  • Project Management qualification advantageous.
  • ISO or other Auditing/Quality Certification advantageous.
  • Ensures high quality work from the team
