Tracker requires the services of a Tester: UAT (User Acceptance Testing) at Head Office based in Johannesburg. This position requires a candidate who is focused; customer service orientated; well-spoken and “willing to go the extra mile”.

Job description

Key roles and responsibilities:

  • Tests system changes, enhancements and new releases according to the test plan
  • Logs defects, according to the SOP “Bug-Logging Procedure”
  • Logs Enhancements according to the SOP “Enhancement-Logging Procedure”
  • Compiles User Manuals according to the SOP “Training Procedure” upon test case completion
  • Provides daily feedback on UAT progress to Supervisor
  • Ensures that daily test case documentation, including all steps, are sent to the QA Supervisor
  • Facilitates training according to the SOP "Training Procedure” for release into production
  • Assist with on-the-floor support after software releases
  • Assists with data cleaning, project tasks and other ad-hoc tasks, as required

Minimum requirements

Qualifications, experience and qualities required:

  • Matric (or equivalent) coupled with 3 years working experience in the Tracker Contact Centre
  • 1 year experience working on the iEvolve platform in Tracker Contact Centre environment, applicants must be knowledgeable on current functionality.
  • Experience in carrying out software testing on the iEvolve platform preferred
  • MS office suite proficiency (MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
  • Tracker product and systems knowledge
  • Interpersonal skills
  • Technical and problem-solving skills
  • Attention to detail
  • Ability to work under pressure
  • Ability to effectively multi-task and prioritize
  • Negotiation and mentoring skills
  • Written and verbal communication and presentation skills for group settings, including management level and development team
  • Reporting and documentation skills
  • Valid driver’s license preferred
